Each year Mar-Jac makes available $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in 24 Northeast Georgia High Schools. If interested, contact your guidance counselor for further information. The Mar-Jac Poultry Scholar Is:

A graduating high school senior who exhibits excellence in all phases of school life, in community activities and in the home.

The Mar-Jac Poultry Scholar Has:

• Parents are growers or employees of Mar-Jac Poultry, Inc.
• The student plans to major in an agriculture field of study, possible Poultry Science.
• The student will have earned a College Preparatory diploma or a Technical/Career Diploma.
• The student has a weighted, cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all courses.
• No minimum score required on the Scholastic Assessment test (SAT) or on the America College Test (ACT)
• During grades 9-12, the student has shown evidence of leadership and/or significant participation in extracurricular activities both in school and the community.
• The student is registered to vote if he or she is 18 years old and is a citizen of the United States.
• The student show evidence of self-esteem and concern for other in day-to-day activities.
